John has worked in the power industry for fifteen years, and has experience in coal-fired, simple cycle, and combined cycle facilities.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Emory University, and worked as a therapist and consultant for ten years before joining Southern Company.

He has held a number of management positions covering all aspects of compliance: regulatory, chemistry, environmental, safety, health, finance, security, and IT.

He was a compliance project lead on a $2.9 billion upgrade for a 3,600 MW coal-fired plant as well as for several construction and start-up projects. John has focused solely on regulatory compliance for the last five years.

John joined EthosEnergy Group in March of 2014. He manages 693 compliance for 35 facilities, covering each of the eight NERC regional entities.

John assumed the duties and responsibilities of Chair for the Regulatory and Compliance (NERC/FERC) Roundtable in the spring of 2014.

Position Objective: To provide incremental business value to the CTOTF™ membership by facilitating communications, information, and discussion among CTOTF™ members, equipment manufacturers, and service providers for the NERC/FERC Roundtable in addition to planninf and conducting the Spring and Fall NERC/FERC Roundtables.

This Roundtable is provided for Member Users, to exchange information regarding issues and concerns, affecting the CT power producing industry with respect to NERC/FERC.
