Bill has enjoyed a progressive career of over 40 years leading TECO Energy, Entegra Power and IHI Power Services organizations through construction, start-up, operations, business growth and generation fleet management in regulated and unregulated power industries.

He began his career with Tampa Electric (TECO Energy) in 1974 as a plant laborer and worked through the ranks of the company serving in various technical support and management roles. Prior to his retirement in May 2005, he served as Vice President/General Manager Operations for TECO’s wholesale generation fleet with the responsibility for the operations and asset management of nine non-regulated power generation facilities located throughout the US.

Upon retirement from TECO, Bill joined Entegra Power Group as Plant Manager for the Union Power Project, a 2200 MW combined cycle plant located in El Dorado Arkansas. He was appointed Entegra’s Vice President, Engineering and Operations in July of 2009. In this role, he was responsible for executive management of two 2200 MW combined cycle facilities, the Union and Gila River power stations, including O&M, engineering, plant performance, long-term maintenance, and environmental compliance.

Following retirement from Entegra in January, 2015, Bill joined IHI Power Services serving as Vice President, Special Projects to help lead management, organizational and O&M improvements within the IHI operations fleet.

Bill earned technical certification in instrument and control systems and continued his education in electronic engineering over the course of 11 years while working full-time within the power industry.

Bill has been an active participant in the CTOTF™ for over 23 years. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Leadership Roundtable.

Position Objective:  To provide incremental business value to the CTOTF™ membership by facilitating communications, information, and discussion among CTOTF™ members.
This Roundtable is provided for Member Users, to exchange information for the purpose of enhancing their Leadership skills.
