Doug is the Maintenance Supervisor at Avangrid Renewables Klamath Energy site. Klamath Energy consists of two 501FD3 Siemens Turbines with an Alstom Steam Turbine. In addition to the combined cycle site, Klamath Energy also has two FT-8 Twin packs. Doug is responsible for the mechanical maintenance department. In addition to the day to day preventative and corrective maintenance program, he is also responsible for outage planning, budget forecasting, vendor selection, and project management.

Doug spent 18 years at Puget Sound Energy’s Sumas Generating station where he was responsible for the mechanical maintenance and outage management of a GE 7EA Combined Cycle Plant. He was also a qualified outside and control room operator for the site.

His background also includes four years in the United States Marine Corps as a Jet Engine Mechanic/Plane Captain.

Doug has been associated with CTOTF since 2002, and in the Spring of 2015 served as the Vice Chair of the Combined Cycle Roundtable. In the Fall of 2017 he assumed the duties and responsibilities of the CTOTF Chair for the Combined Cycle Roundtable.

Position Objective:  To provide incremental business value to the CTOTF™ membership by facilitating communications, information, and discussion among CTOTF™ members, equipment manufacturers, and service providers for the Combined Cycle Roundtable.

This Roundtable is provided for Member Users, to exchange information regarding issues and concerns, affecting Steam System Components typically associated with Combined Cycle plants.

Discussion topics for this Roundtable include: Steam Turbines, Auxiliaries, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Boilers, Chemistry, Cooling Towers and Balance of Plant Systems.
