Chad Boyd is a Project Manager of Generation Projects at TVA where he is responsible for the execution of more than $50 million per year in capital and O M project work. Mr Boyd has been a part of planning, coordination, budgeting and execution on a multitude of projects across the TVA fleet. His currently suppporting the gas fleet which consists of 122 units with various frame types.

Prior to the gas fleet, Chad supported Nuclear and Coal. Chad worked at Sun Technical/Bechtel supporting TVA - holding positions as Engineering Supervisor, Planner and Field Engineer. While at Sun Technical/Bechtel, his responsibilities included providing leadership and strategic direction to a diverse workforce of employees, development of work packages, and liaison with various plant personnel. Mr. Boyd also worked 8 years at KRB Construction where he performed various project management tasks. Mr. Boyd has 10 years of experience in the power and energy industry. Mr. Boyd accepted the responsibilites of the CT Tech Roundtable Vice Chair in the Spring of 2018.

 

Position Objective: To provide incremental business value to the CTOTF™ membership by facilitating communications, information, and discussion among CTOTF™ members, equipment manufacturers, and service providers to enhance their knowledge and understanding of CT Powerplant Principles and fundamentals. .
