Dave earned his bachelor’s degree with a major in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and joined LG&E Energy Services Inc., in December 2002. Prior to his current role as General Manager of Cane Run and Louisville Combustion Turbines, Dave served as the Director of Generation Services and prior to that, the Manager of Generation Engineering.

Dave also supported the E. W. Brown plant in Harrodsburg, Kentucky as a production supervisor for both their coal and gas facilities – the latter featuring four ALSTOM GT11N2’s, one 11N2+, and two GT24AB’s. Prior to that, Dave completed a two-year expat assignment with E.ON AG working in both the Center of Competence and Global Fleet Management Center located in Hannover, Germany. During his assignment with E.ON AG, Dave led teams focused on international safety best practices, maintenance strategies for the world-wide gas turbine fleet, and other continuous improvement programs for power generation.

Prior to his career at LG&E, Dave worked as a thermal commissioning engineer with ALSTOM Power, within the General Electric Six Sigma program and as an Artillery Officer with the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, GA.

Dave has been a member of CTOTF™ since 2003 and in the Spring of 2015 assumed the role of Chair for the CTOTF™’s Siemens (Advanced Frames) Roundtable. He has previously served the CTOTF™ as Vice Chair of the Siemens (Advanced Frames) Roundtable.
Position Objective:To provide incremental business value to the CTOTF™ membership by facilitating communications, information, and discussion among CTOTF™ members, equipment manufacturers, and service providers for the Siemens fleet of Advanced Frames of combustion turbines currently comprised of their F, G & H Classes of turbines and to assist the Siemens Roundtables Sr. Chair in planning and conducting the Siemens Roundtables.
This Roundtable is provided for Member Users, to exchange information towards resolving problems, issues and concerns, pertaining to the Siemens fleet of Advanced Frame Combustion Turbines currently comprised of their F, G & H Classes of turbines.

Discussion topics for this Roundtable include: Centerline Equipment and Components, Ancillary Equipment, Inlets, Exhausts, Controls and Protection, Inlet Air Conditioning and Performance Testing of these systems.
