Floyd is the Plant Manager of the Louisa Generation Facility in Gordonsville, VA for Old Dominion Electric Cooperative. He has served in his present role since June 2007 and was the O&M Manager for the same facility from April 2004. They operate 1x7FA.03, 2.6 DLN and 4x 7EAs 1.0 DLN dual fuel simple cycle peakers.

Floyd has over 35 years of Gas Turbine experience, starting out as Jet Engine Technician with the Air Force for 10 years and 2 years as an aircraft maintenance technician as a contractor. He then Operated and Maintained LM6000 units in combined cycle cogeneration and simple cycle peakers, for over 8 years. His claim to fame is that he actually worked Level II maintenance and operated the first four LM 6000 PA models produced. He also holds a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant license. 

He's attended CTOTF spring meetings since 2010 and only recently stepped forward to lend his experiences with the LM groups.

He's also worked on a Pratt & Whitney barge project in Manuas, Brazil, and an offshore project (FSPO) with EGT units also in Brazil. His aero experience involves GE and P&W with the Air Force and Rolls Royce RB 211 on British Airways 757s.

Floyd accepted the duties and responsibilities of the Chair for the Aero Derivatives GE Aero (LM Class) Roundtable in the Spring of 2018.

Position Objective:To provide incremental business value to the CTOTF™ membership by facilitating communications, information, and discussion among CTOTF™ members, equipment manufacturers, and service providers for the GE Aero LM Classes of combustion turbines and to assist the Aero Derivatives Roundtable Sr. Chair in planning and conducting the Aero Derivatives Roundtables.

This Roundtable is provided for Member Users, to exchange information towards resolving problems, issues and concerns, pertaining to the GE Aero LM Classes of combustion turbines.

Discussion topics for this Roundtable include: Centerline Equipment and Components, Ancillary Equipmet, Inlets, Exhausts, Controls and Protection, Inlet Air Conditioning and Performance Testing of these systems.
