Volunteer to be a Host!

Our members volunteer to "host" meetings.  When there are multiple volunteers for hosting a particular meeting, the Leadership Team is tasked with selecting the meeting location.

Over the years the duties of a host have altered significantly.  No longer do the host companies have to devote months of labor to work out every detail of a meeting.  Now the host has few responsibilities, dependent upon the level of involvement the host would like.

A host for a meeting is obliged to provide the following:

  •  A welcoming or keynote speaker for the Plenary ( or General Session-- Approx. 15 minutes).

A host may choose to provide the following:

  •  A plant tour with transportation,

  •  A souvenir to be given out at registration,

  •  Transportation for 1 or 2 days for spouse activities,

  •  Representatives to plan or accompany the spouses on local tours.

For this, the host company gets:

  •  Recognition and publicity,

  •  Discounted registration fees (after first two full registration fees, next eight are half price)

  •  Satisfaction.  :-).

Think you might like to host a meeting?  Contact Wickey Elmo, the Conference Planner and Group Coordinator, at 704-753-5377 or by E-mail: .
