Jason started his career in the Utility Industry for Phelps Dodge Mining Co. at the Chino Power Plant and held multiple positions from Control Room Operator to Shift Supervisor.
In 2002 Jason went to work for Tri-State as a Combustion Turbine Technician and later became the Lead Combustion Turbine Technician at the Pyramid Generating Station. And in 2008 he was promoted to Combustion Turbine Maintenance Coordinator responsible for 4 Tri-State power generation facilities constituting a fleet consisting of 2 GE Frame 7B’s, 4 GE Frame 7EA’s and 4 GE LM6000PC’s.
As Tri-State’s Combustion Turbine Maintenance Coordinator, Jason’s responsibilities include the coordination and administration of its preventative/predictive maintenance programs. As well as outage scheduling, regulatory and environmental compliance requirements, training, budgeting and safety initiatives. Offutt’s duties and responsibilities at Tri-State don’t end there for he is also responsible for all capital projects, capital planning and large O&M projects not to mention spare parts warehousing spanning 5 locations in 2 states.
Jason has served as the GE Aero (LM Class) Roundtable Vice Chair since the fall Forum of 2010.

Position Objective: To provide incremental business value to the CTOTF™ membership by facilitating communications, information, and discussion among CTOTF™ members, equipment manufacturers, and service providers for the GE Aero (LM Class) of combustion turbines and to assist the GE Roundtables Chair in planning and conducting the GE Combustion Turbine Users Roundtables.

Discussion topics for this Roundtable include: Centerline Equipment and Components, Ancillary Systems, Inlets, Exhausts, Controls and Protection, Inlet Air Conditioning and Performance Testing. |
